WebQuests
WebQuests
are open-ended projects that engage students in researching and analyzing
information from various online sources. They involve students in identifying
research questions, locating relevant information, evaluating sources,
synthesizing information into coherent arguments or presentations, and sharing
findings with peers or the larger community. WebQuests provide opportunities
for students to develop critical thinking skills, research skills, and digital
literacy skills in an authentic context. They also encourage collaboration and
communication skills as students work together in small groups or classes to
complete the project. WebQuests can cover a wide range of subjects and can be
adapted to various grade levels and instructional contexts. Additionally, WebQuests
offer the advantage of being easily customizable to specific learning
objectives or curriculum standards.
